Many people feel fear on a daily basis and it’s a terrible thing to live with. Fear can control and ruin your whole life. But there are ways to deal with it. Here are 5 ways with which you can learn how to deal with fear.
1. Live in the NOW
These days we’re stressing about a thousand and one things … sometimes even at the same time. We’re stressing about things that might happen in the future. But we don’t know what will happen in the future. Anything is possible so why focus on one (negative) outcome? If you look on the internet there are lots of articles and videos and even whole entire websites dedicated to the law of attraction. That law says that like attracts like. therefore when you think about negative stuff your energy shifts and you will attract more of what it is you are feeling. And we don’t want that, now do we?!
So instead of repeatedly playing a bad image of the future in my head I always try to shift my negative energy to a more positive one. The way I do that is by living in the moment. What do i like to do that makes me happy? What kind of food will I have for dinner that will make me happy? Shall I call my friend how always makes me laugh? Those are questions that run through my mind during the proces of shifting my energy. Meditating is also a very way to bring your thoughts back to this very moment.
2. Be grateful for what you already have right NOW
When we worry about stuff we tend to forget to remind ourselves about all the great things that already exsist in our lives. Usually people mostly think of things they are lacking in their lives such as money, love, careers, etc. It’s so easy to dwell on things that are not yet manifested and that brings down our energy. It really helps to grateful for everything that you have already manifested into your life such as your health, your relationship with your family and friends, the job that you have right now, that special person you met a couple weeks ago…. you name it! Focus on the great things that are in your life right now and watch how your energy will shift instantly. It becomes more positive and that means that you’ll attract more of it into your life!
3. Is your problem relevant right NOW?
We worry about eny and everything… about our finances, about finding love… Heck, we even stess about keeping love!
It’s super easy to get caught up in negative thoughts that make you feel afraid, anxious or worries. That’s why I alway try to live in the NOW (tip #1) in stressfull situations. I try to remind myself that “right now” I’m okay and everything’s just fine. For example: you just received a letter in your mailbox from the electricity company in which they let you know that you have to pay the amount you owe then in 5 days or they will cut you off.
Of course you start stressing about it immediately and have no idea where to get the money from. Right away you start thinking about all the bad things that might happen when you won’t have electricity in your home anymore. This all is very understandable and we all do this. But instead of focussing on what might happen, focus on what is right now. At this very moment you still have heat, you still have five days left to come up with a solution… So there’s no real problem yet. No need to start worrying!
4. Focus on the love you feel inside
Like I said in the first tip: like attracts like. So it’s very important to maintain a positive mindset. The fastest way to shift your energy to a more positive one is by ‘thinking happy thoughts’ (and feel them also, othwise like trying to boil water without the stove on). Love is the strongest happy feeling a human being can have so when you’re shifting your energy try to focus on that. Think about any and everything you love in your life: your family, your friends, your dog, your job, your hobby, your house, the color on your nails, the fresh flowers you just bought… Notice that smile that just showed up on your face? Yep…. that’s LOVE right there!
5. Focus on your inner peace not your fear
Fear, anxiety and worry take over when your inner peace is off balance. It’s said that you can tell how someone is feeling by looking at their living spaces. If their place is messy and chaotic, it’s probably the same way in their head. I’d like to think it also works the other way around. When your place is tidy and clean it’ll give you some peace of mind. You can’t think straight when there’s clutter all around you. But when your home is clean you feel lighter and more inspired. It also helps when you’re facing difficult times in your life and don’t know what to do to make it better. You feel more creative and can see things more clearly or from another perspective.
Oh and another thing:
These were only a few things you can do to deal with fear in your life. There are many more ways out there but not everthing works for everyone. It’s impotant to do things that feel good to you. Things that make you happy and that get your mind of of the thing you are worried about. That’s the most impotant thing when you want to shift your energy. So just try some out and see if there things out there that work for you. I’ve recently written a post about some great books that can help too.
What also helps me is watching videos on YouTube to hear how other people deal with fear and anxiety. It gives me ideas of new things that I can try out. That’s why I also made a video for you guys. I think is even more personal than writing some information. It’s as if I’m telling it to you in person. If you like it and want to see more of these kind of videos please hit the like button and let me know in the comments.
